A Church for People Who Don’t Come to Church
![]()
PLEASE JUST BE YOURSELF AND COME AS YOU ARE! We would rather have you HERE than worry about what you are wearing or how many tattoos or piercings or what your hair looks like! THIS CHURCH IS YOUR CHURCH FIRST. We at St. George United Methodist Church realize we’re all just sinners, saved by God’s amazing grace. None of us ~ pastor and family included ~ are perfect. We all make mistakes. So, what’s the difference? We are striving for perfection. We have been forgiven by Jesus Christ through prayer and confession. We long to be like Jesus. We’re in love with Jesus and have His love dwelling in our heart. This gives us a joy that can’t be duplicated with anything that the world has to offer. And yes, you can know that love too! Never let anyone tell you differently. We’re a warm, friendly congregation that cares about all God’s children. Worship with us a couple of times, and you’ll find you’ve been incorporated into a church family that cares about you and knows you by name.
We would love to have you join us on Sunday morning at 9:30 for Sunday School for all ages and worship that begins at 10:30, followed by cookies, coffee, and wonderful fellowship in Fellowship Hall just north of the church. If you have questions or would like directions, please don’t hesitate to call the church at 785-494-2314 or email pastorleslye@sbcglobal.net.
Growing, healing, discovering…we have a place for YOU here!”
Pastor Leslye Haller

UPCOMING ANNUAL PANCAKE BREAKFAST!!! You DON’T want to miss this!

Join us for a pancake breakfast on Saturday, November 22, 2009. Times will be posted at a future date. We’re raising money to purchase an LCD projector for the sanctuary and fellowship hall that can be used to project music for the current Sunday morning service as well as the contemporary service that is soon to be announced–yea God! This projector will also be used to expand the ministry through videos and other media for children, youth and adults. Please join us, and be on the look out for more information as the day draws nearer.

Hayrack Ride — 2009, at the Dille’s Farm
In October, we had another evening at the Dille’s farm, riding on the hay wagon and then roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over a “way hot” campfire. What a wonderful time we had enjoying each other’s company in God’s creation.
